When I was little, I remember going to my grandparents house and looking at the photo albums they had. I think there were only a few, but I just loved getting them out and seeing pictures of them and other family members when they were younger. As I looked through the photos and asked questions, grandma would tell me something about the memory or the person that was captured in that photo.
Are you printing your photos?
I am just as guilty as the next person - capturing most of our family memories with my cell phone. Let's face it, it's easy, and quick, right? But then what happens to them? Will your grandchildren get to ask you questions about the memories you're capturing?
Here's how I am making sure I have those moments someday with my grandchildren. It's easier than you think.
Organize your photos
In your phone, you have the ability to mark favorites and create albums. As you capture your memories, look through them right away and mark your favorites. My iPhone has a quick way to do this by clicking on a little heart icon. Here's an important tip - delete the rest! This will keep your photos clean and remove all those duplicates. You know, the ones when someone moved or had their eyes closed.
Create an album for printing and get your photos into it. I have an album for the year that I drop photos into.
Download and Set up a Photo printing app
My favorite way to get photos from my phone to print is with an app called mpix. Mpix is a great print lab and I recommend it to all of my clients.
You can upload images to mpix from a variety of options, including Facebook and Instagram. In this case, I want to upload the photos from my iPhone so I will select Photos. Once I'm there, I can create an album in the app. This is where I upload photos to keep them organized.
From there, you can select print sizes and place your order - all from your phone.
So there you have it. Print your photos and share your memories!
All the best -
Lynn Marie
